We're currently seeking a dedicated Pre-School Special Education Teacher ($38-52/hr) to support 3-5 year olds (Self-Contained) with a 14 student Caseload) near Brookfield, IL.

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Special Education

• Illinois Professional Educator License (plus endorsement in Early Childhood)

• Current endorsement in special education or Learning Behavior Specialist License with an endorsement in early childhood

• Previous experience teaching in the area of assignment within the last 4 years and/or coursework in the area of assignment within the last 3 years

• Comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and skill in the content area/assignment

• Knowledge and experience with Google Suite and Excellent communication skills

• Fluency and literacy in English and Spanish are preferred but not required

Role Overview:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will support students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:   

• Dates: ASAP - March 5, 2027
• Hours: 8:00-3:45pm Mon-Thursday with a 30 minute lunch and Wednesday you work 8-430pm with a 30 minute lunch
• Setting:  You will teach 4th grade general ed
• Caseload:14 students
• In-person  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Accommodate, modify and adapt lessons and curriculum as needed to meet individual student needs and IEP Goals
• Support in the facilitation of IEP meetings as well as development of the IEP
• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental levels and interests of their students
• Set and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior and school environment by applying positive reinforcement and/or behavior modification techniques as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of student behavior intervention plans
